Cover Supervisor

Grade TA4, 35 hours per week, 8am - 3:45pm, term time only, £27,344 - £29,439 pro rata per annum.

Witton Middle School are looking to appoint an additional Cover Supervisor to commence on 4 September 2023.

 

  • Do you have experience of creating a stimulating learning environment to inspire children?
  • Are you quick thinking, confident and keen to learn more about teaching?
  • Do you have a relevant level 3 qualification or above with GCSE (or equivalent) English and mathematics at grade 4 or above?

 

This role involves working across the school, in partnership with another Cover Supervisor, with our Key Stage 2 & 3 pupils.  This will include taking registers, delivering pre-prepared lessons, as well as planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.

 

Our curriculum is designed to create confident, curious and collaborative individuals who will make a difference in the world.  As a middle school catering for children in years 5, 6 and 7, we provide an effective bridge between first and high school.  Our children receive expert teaching and benefit from excellent specialist facilities which foster increasing levels of independence in learning.

 

The successful candidate will have a positive, enthusiastic outlook, have a sense of humour and willingness to deal with difficult situations in a calm and sensitive manner.  The ability to lead additional enrichment (eg forest/outdoor activities) would be welcomed.  As part of The Spire Church of England Learning Trust, the successful candidate will also have access to excellent professional development opportunities.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.  This post requires a Children's Barring List Check.  If you are banned from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post.
