Teaching Assistant

27.75 hours per week, term time only, fixed term in the first instance to 19.7.2024

£14,212 - £14,472 per annum

  • Do you have a commitment to ensuring all pupils access and flourish through an education of the highest quality?
  • Are you able to support children with meeting their physical and emotional needs?
  • Are you able to support our classroom teachers to raise standards, working with pupils with varying additional needs?
  • Do you exhibit an approach to behaviour management that works with pupils’ strengths and supports them to meet our high expectations?
  • Do you have experience of working with children with ASD, ADHD, attachment disorders or Acute Childhood Trauma?
  • Are you interested in working with children for whom English is an additional language?

 

We are seeking a candidate with GCSE (or equivalent) English and mathematics at grade 4 or above, who holds positive values, can work as part of a team and have experience of being a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 2 or 3.

 

Our curriculum is designed to create confident, curious, and collaborative individuals who will make a difference in the world.  As a middle school catering for children in years 5, 6 and 7, we provide an effective bridge between first and high school.  Our children receive expert teaching and benefit from excellent specialist facilities which foster increasing levels of independence in learning.

 

The successful candidate will have a positive, enthusiastic outlook, have a sense of humour and willingness to deal with difficult situations in a calm and sensitive manner.  As part of The Spire Church of England Learning Trust, the successful candidates will also have access to excellent professional development opportunities.

Business Administration Apprentice

37 hours per week, 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday, 40 weeks per year

National Apprentice Salary

We are looking to appoint a Business Administration Apprentice to support the smooth running of the school.  The successful candidate will be joining our dedicated and supportive office team in welcoming parents and visitors to our school.  This is a vital front of house role.  You will need to be a positive professional and be flexible to the demands of the post. 

 

The role will involve providing a professional welcome to all visitors, responding quickly to incoming enquiries, either telephone, email or face to face, together with admin support to the main office, maintaining data records and giving first aid support.

 

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  An enhanced DBS will be required for this position.
