Meet Mrs Dakin teacher of piano and keyboard. 

Tina is a qualified and successful music teacher with a first class BA (hons) degree, who has been teaching piano and electronic keyboard at Witton since 2015.

She began her career as a musician, working as a solo keyboard player.  Tina gave concert performances at venues across this country and abroad, as well as playing at weddings and other social events in her local area.  She has also been keyboard player in soul band ‘Back to Miami’ as well as in various dance bands.

Tina has many years of experience as a teacher, having worked as a classroom music teacher with key stages 2, 3 and 4, a peripatetic electronic keyboard and piano teacher across all key stages and an instrumental team leader and manager of a team of 26 instrumental teachers at a County Music and Performing Arts Service.  She has facilitated many events for children, including residential weekends, tours, concerts, festivals, music and combined arts projects. 

Mrs Dakin is super impressed with all of the hard work of her students. She has chosen her term superstars who have worked incredibly hard and demonstrate a fantastic attitude to learning. Sophie and Lucy have mastered the keyboard piece they have been working on and their recent performance sounded great! Lilia has practised really hard this week and play her piece beautifully.
