Class Teacher (Permanent)

Grade MPS 1-6

Salary range (£32,916-£45,352)

Contract type Permanent

Due to expansion as a result of a significant increase in pupil numbers, an opportunity has arisen to join our great team at our amazing school.  We are seeking a number of motivated and inspirational teachers to teach across the key stage 2/3 age range (years 5, 6 & 7) from September 2026.

The successful candidates will be educated to degree level, have qualified teacher status and proven teaching experience at either KS2 or 3, together with high expectations for children’s attainment and progress, good ICT skills, and an ability to build effective working relationships.  Exact subject specialisms can be negotiated, but our teachers will have expertise in either maths or English alongside other subject specialisms or interests. We are keen to hear from candidates with a passion for: science, humanities or computing at KS2 or 3.

Witton is organised in a similar way to secondary or High school – with children moving between different teaching areas and working with a variety of teachers and adults across the school. We welcome applications from colleagues with experience of any educational setting and phase. We pride ourselves on our strong and supportive climate, within which children, and adults alike, feel safe to grow personally and academically.  Children receive expert teaching and benefit from excellent specialist facilities which foster increasing levels of independence in learning.

As part of our popular and growing school you can expect to:

  • Join a supportive, welcoming team, both at school and within our wider MAT (Spire C of E Learning Trust)
  • Be supported to continue your own professional growth and development
  • Teach and support children in calm, purposeful lessons
  • Form excellent relationships with parents and families
  • Enjoy your work and make a genuine difference!
