TASK ONE
- 80% of the world’s known species of animals are invertebrates.
- They form the basis of numerous food chains: e.g. 80% of plants rely on invertebrates for pollination.
- One pipistrelle bat will eat around 8,000 invertebrates in one evening.

Create a key to classify these insects:
TASK TWO
You are going to go for a minibeast hunt. Remember to look underneath things.
Before you go, prepare a tally chart to record what you find.
Is there any other data that it would be interesting to include? e.g. habitat, weather, time of day
Be gentle with any living things that you find and return them where you found them.
Remember to wash your hands when you have finished.
TASK THREE
What would be the best way to present your data: a pictogram? a bar chart? a pie chart?
