Maths

This week we will start by refreshing our knowledge of coordinates and then extend our understanding by relating them to transformations (changes) in shape. 

 

Start each session with the 5-a-day starter task. Pick your difficulty level – bronze easiest and platinum most challenging. Make sure you challenge yourself.  

Monday:

 

  1. Complete the 5-a-day maths sheet for 1st June. 

  2. Watch video 13 at https://corbettmathsprimary.com/content/ (coordinates). 

  3. Complete task 3 (worksheet) and mark 

  4. Complete mymaths activity for 1/6/20 

Tuesday:

 

  1. Complete the 5-a-day maths sheet for 2nd June. 

  2. Use the Oak Academy Website https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-5/maths#subjects and select lesson 1 – An Introduction to Translation. Complete the quiz and then watch the video following the instructions. 

  3. Complete task 3 (answers included) 

  4. Complete task 4 (answers included) 

Wednesday:

 

  1. Complete the 5-a-day maths sheet for 3rd June.

  2. Use the Oak Academy Website https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-5/maths#subjects and select lesson 2 – Describing Translation. Complete the quiz and then watch the video following the instructions. 

  3. Complete task 3 – Corbett Maths Worksheet. 

Thursday:

 

  1. Complete the 5-a-day maths sheet for 4th June. 

  2. Use the Oak Academy Website https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-5/maths#subjects and select lesson 4 – Describe Position After Translation. Complete the quiz and then watch the video following the instructions. 

  3. Use the Oak Academy Website https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-5/maths#subjects and select lesson 5 – Describe Position After Translation. Complete the quiz and then watch the video following the instructions. 

 

It may be useful to make some notes as you watch the videos to help you tomorrow.

  2. Complete Task 1 – do 4 questions and mark, if you get 3 or 4 correct move on – if not complete the sheet. 

  3. Complete Task 2 – do 4 questions and mark, if you get 3 or 4 correct move on – if not complete the sheet. 

  4. Complete Task 3 – do 4 questions and mark, if you get 3 or 4 correct move on – if not complete the sheet.
