Welcome to 7KW’s class page

I am looking forward to being your new class teacher. As you know, I love science! When I am not getting excited about science at school, I usually volunteer at a hands-on science centre in Cheltenham during the holidays. Yet, you may not know that I also love learning languages. After my ‘A’ levels, I spent a year working as an English assistant at two schools in Berlin, Germany. Then I completed the third year of my physics degree at university in Lyon, France. Although I enjoy watching sport, I have never been very confident playing it myself. However, I have enjoyed joining in with PE Joe during lockdown and had hoped to start playing some cricket this summer. To relax, I enjoy craft. During lockdown, I have knitted two baby cardigans and made two patchwork quilts. In the summer holidays, I have upcycled some old jeans into a denim skirt. You can send me a message via epraise to tell me more about you.

Reading

  • Please continue to read for pleasure.
  • Droitwich Library reopens on Monday 3rd August. Alternatively, you can download free e-books and audiobooks from Worcestershire Libraries using BorrowBox. If you are not a library member, you can join instantly with a Digital Library Membership.
  • I am currently reading “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” by Jules Verne.

Homework

  • Your homework will be set by your maths and English teachers. When you log onto epraise, you can click onto the calendar icon to see what you need to do and when it is due.
  • I would love to add a copy of your work to our 'Hall of Fame' gallery.

PE

  • Your PE lessons are on Monday and Friday. Remember to come to school wearing your PE kit on those days. You can wear your school jumper over the top if it is chilly!
