Welcome to 5CW's class page
Welcome back! I hope all had a great Easter break. I can't believe we've been back at school for a week already. Summer term is always so lovely, lots of sunshine and being able to play on the field at lunchtimes. Make sure you label your jumpers as lots of you are starting to take them off due to the warmer weather and we want them to get back to the right owners.
I'm looking forward to lots of outdoor art, appreciating nature around us and learning about the Vikings - were they as vicious as they were made out to be? We shall find out!
Have a great week,
Don't forget we have PE on Mondays and Thursdays so you'll need to wear your PE kit to school on those days.
Please make sure you have a water bottle, your pencil case, school journal and reading journal packed in your bag every day for school. If there any issues please let school know so that we can discuss this.
We have had so many children reach their bronze award on epraise! You have all been working so hard to achieve them. Make sure you log in to epraise (both children and parents/carers) to see how you're getting on or if you need to contact any of your teachers. See the link below for support on how to access epraise.
Now that you are in year 5, we want to increase your independent learning to benefit you. Your homework will be given out every Wednesday and you will have until the following Wednesday to complete your tasks. It will consist of:
- 15 minutes of reading, 5 days a week (record all reading in your reading records)
- 15 minutes x 2 days, to learn your spellings
- 20 minutes x 2 days of maths - MyMaths and TT Rockstars
- 15 minutes x 2 days of SPAG
Check your English and maths set page and epraise for your next pieces of homework.
