Teaching, learning and assessment
Further raise quality of teaching by improving the quality of feedback to pupils and ensuring they understand what they need to do to improve and can feed this forward into future work.
Further raise the quality of teaching and learning, by securing good and increasing the proportion of outstanding learning.
Establish systems and processes for accurate assessment and tracking of outcomes without levels in English and maths, including setting targets and providing feedback, and ensure parents and pupils are fully informed.
Further develop curriculum provision in foundation subjects, line with the National Curriculum 2014, to provide a broad range of relevant experiences by reviewing planning, tackling inconsistency and exemplification of standards
Further strengthen work with feeder schools and High school in order to enhance continuity of curricular provision
Personal development, behaviour and welfare
Tackle pockets of under-attendance, particularly with vulnerable learners and groups
Further develop pupil leadership by increasing expectation, opportunities and raising the profile of pupil leadership roles in the classroom.
To ensure opportunities for SMSC, Safety and Wellbeing are identified and provision further enhanced.
Outcomes for pupils
Increase the proportion of pupils meeting and mastering the required standard of age related expectations, in line with National measures, under the new National Curriculum 2014
Close the gap for individual pupils and specific pupil groups through effective identification and intervention actions.
Raise the proportion of pupils attaining expected progress in mathematics, including disadvantaged pupils and girls
Raise the proportion of pupils attaining more than expected progress in reading, including disadvantaged boys and low attainers
Increase the proportion of higher attaining pupils in SPaG
