Pupils at Witton Middle School raised nearly £2,000 in 2016 for various charities.
Each year, staff and pupils at Witton Middle School, Old Coach Road, Droitwich, choose a number of national charity events to take part in and raise money for them by holding dress down days, coffee mornings and cake sales.
Among the causes they supported were Marie Curie Cancer Care (£232.92), Sport Relief (£313.16), the Macmillan Coffee Morning (£74.58), the Poppy Appeal (£341.31) and Children in Need (£375.00).
Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, Cancer Research UK and Blue Cross each received £111.00.
During December (2016), pupils have donated non-perishable foods, toiletries and warm clothing for the Maggs Day Centre together with a cheque for £243.23.
